Sheena Lynch (She/Her)
Sheena is a registered physiotherapist. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Therapy and Training, in Ireland, primarily working with athletes. Following a Harvard Medical Internship, at the division of sports medicine Boston, she completed her Masters in Physiotherapy in Scotland. She is dedicated to continuing her studies and developing her skills. She is certified as a Functional Movement Screen practitioner and a Functional Dry Needling/IMS practitioner.
Sheena has a special interest in sports injuries along with back and neck pain. She uses a combination of hands on manual therapy with soft tissue therapy, IMS dry needling, exercise prescription and patient education to create individualized care plans for clients. She believes in not just treating the injury but addressing the imbalances, which may have contributed to the initial injury with the aim of preventing future re-occurrence.
She has experience in treating a wide range of clients from people involved in road traffic accidents, clients requiring pre and post operative rehabilitation to national and Olympic athletes.
Outside of work, she is interested in fencing, sailing, swimming and exploring the outdoors, generally making the most of what Vancouver has to offer. She has recently completed her first sprint triathlon.
