Jessie Wu (She/Her)
Jessie is a registered physiotherapist who received her training from the University of British Columbia. She is certified to practice acupuncture under Acupuncture Canada. Jessie is also a Clinical Pilates Instructor having completed the rehabilitation program (Mat and Reformer) in STOTT Pilates. Most recently, she earned her ConnectTherapyTM practitioner designation, which is an innovative approach that focuses on assessing the whole body to identify and treat the root cause of the pain.
As a therapist, Jessie believes in providing more than band-aid measures, but finding long term solutions and preventing future injuries. She utilizes a combination of hands-on techniques, needling, and exercise in her treatments. Jessie’s broad range of clinical experience includes sports injuries, neck/back injuries, pelvic dysfunction, arthritis, peri-natal care, and pre/post-surgical rehabilitation.
Jessie works extensively with yoga instructors and provides consultations on how to practice yoga safely for students. As a new mom herself, she also enjoys working with women before and after birth on core and pelvic floor strength, or simply rebuilding strength to run after the kids. Jessie has been the team therapist for local triathlon clubs and often works with running groups in program planning, injury screening and prevention, and treatment of acute injuries.
