Our COVID-19 Response Plan
Our communities have been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, our clinic’s focus on your well being has not.
To help protect our patients and staff we have implemented additional safety precautions that have been approved by WorkSafeBC.
The following are some of the safety precautions we have implemented:
- Increased time between appointments to ensure appropriate cleaning and social distancing
- Decreased therapists on the schedule to limit the number of individuals in our clinics
- Use of recommended disinfectant grade products for cleaning
- Plexiglass barriers for reception area
- Required wearing of masks for therapists
- Required wearing of face coverings for all patients coming into the clinic
- Cash payments not accepted
We ask that patients enter the office unaccompanied and arrive as close as you can to your scheduled appointment time to minimize any congestion in the reception area. For those patients who need a guardian or children to accompany them, we ask that this be limited as much as possible.
Every person entering the office is expected to wear a medical grade mask of level 2 or higher (level 3, kn95 or n95) and will be asked to wash/sanitize their hands upon entry. If you do not have a level 2 medical grade mask, one will be provided to you free of charge. Please take your temperature the morning of your appointment as we will also confirm you do not present with a fever at the time of your arrival by using a contactless thermometer.
Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, water, toys, etc., due to difficulty in disinfecting these items.
Our therapists and staff will be wearing the recommended personal protective equipment (PPE) during your appointment where social distancing is not attainable.
If you are uncomfortable coming into the clinics, we are still pleased to offer telehealth video conferencing sessions for anyone wishing to obtain or continue their treatment from home.
For patients receiving active rehabilitation, we are still offering appointments with our physiotherapists, however, these sessions will take place within our private treatment rooms and will be limited to portable and easy to clean equipment.
Thank you for your continued support during these times. We are entering uncharted waters and truly appreciate your patience and understanding while we navigate through this together.
Sincerely,
Your PhysioWorks Team
