Gevorg Eginyan (He/Him)

Gevorg completed his Master of Physiotherapy degree at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Prior to his physiotherapy training, he earned his Bachelor of Kinesiology and Master of Science degrees at UBC. His clinical expertise is complemented by years of research experience studying how the brain and the spinal cord function after injury.
He is passionate about working with a variety of clients, including people with orthopedic, post-surgical, sports injuries, and concussions. Gevorg has a special interest in concussion rehab, as well as working with runners of all levels and has completed courses in these areas of practice.
As a strong supporter of evidence-based practice, Gevorg believes that an effective treatment begins with a thorough assessment and education about the injury. To improve clients’ function, work, athletic performance, and overall quality of life, Gevorg utilized a client-centred approach including exercise-based interventions combined with hands-on manual therapy.
At UBC, he gained valuable experience working as an athletic trainer with the UBC Varsity Men’s Soccer Team and Richmond Men’s Rugby Club. He has also worked with a variety of athletes at various sporting events, including Track and Field, Tennis, and Softball tournaments.
Outside of work, Gevorg enjoys coffee, hiking, running half marathons, playing soccer, and keeping up to date with the English Premier League.
